Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms always smelled of damp plaster and fresh paint, leading to a disconcerting stay. However, during our second visit, we were moved to another room which alleviated the issue. The service was a bit inconsistent, with some staff members being amazing, while others seemed indifferent to our presence. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring downtown, the city center, Jackson Square, and French Quarter. The dining experience was affected by overpriced options and ongoing construction at the restaurant and bar. The facilities were adequate for our needs.
The hotel's rooms were actually really nice, comfy, and clean every day, but badly need updating and didn't match the lobby's beauty. The service, though kind of hard to talk to in a friendly conversation, was the only available option at the time; however, the staff were angels at trying to compensate for all deficiencies and kindly called an engineer to check it out. The location was great for the price, with friendly staff and within walking distance of Bourbon Street, being their only selling point at this time to walk to the French Quarter and other amenities. The dining experience wasn't free, was really, really basic, way too overpriced, and limited due to Mardi Gras parade road closures. Despite that, refined dishes were available. The hotel offered good facilities overall.
I found the hotel to be a mixed experience. While the location was conveniently close to a variety of restaurants, the aspect of the hotel itself seemed somewhat stark. The service was exceptional, showing genuine care for guests, though there were some hiccups with my payment request. The dining options were limited due to road closures during the Mardi Gras parade, and the prices for both food and parking felt overly expensive.
